Print Media

Over various projects, commissions and volunteering jobs, I got the opportunity to design a varied style of posters depending on the company and/or the situation. Some allowed me to explore layout and type styles, whereas some allowed me to learn more about illustrations and signs where I got the chance to demonstrate my Illustrator skills.

While the purposes for the posters were different, it allowed me to research, explore and learn a lot more about what style of posters are used in what kinds of contexts and what is right for different audiences.

These were posters I created for Howdens Joinery for their annual Chocolate Day. One of the posters was to bring Chocolate Day to everyone’s attention and remind them of it and the second one was to inform people on everything about the event. While designing such posters for jobs and commissions, I got the chance to follow specific guidelines given to me and work with feedback I received from the clients.

This was a series of posters I designed to go along with a study guide I had created for a university project. The aim of the study guide was to provide the users (a target audience of school and university students) with a tried and tested, step-by-step ideal study session that would get them the best results from their studying along with making sure that they make their mental and physical health a priority.

I was able to use the previous experience I had gained while designing posters and use my understanding of InDesign and layout design to create work that would be informative and would be able to communicate with the users.
