Branding

Florasation

The aim of this project was to help users learn about how they can have more environmental awareness and teach them ways they could cause an positive impact to the environment and create a brand around it. The part of the environment I focused on was reducing our carbon footprint and my target audience were children between the ages of 6 and 10 as it becomes easier to teach a person something and make it a habit at a younger age. I created the brand guideline and learnt a lot about company brand guidelines along the way. I followed the brand's guidelines that were set while creating the products for it.

The Brand: Florasation. Comes from the words 'flora' and 'conversation' to initiate a conversation about the environment and our impact on it.

Promotions, marketing and branding.

I had created and designed this brand and its guidelines as a project at university and handed in the finished brand guidelines. However, after the hand in deadline had passed, I came up with an idea to extend the project and create more aspects for it.

I decided to create an activity pack that would be sold by the brand in order to teach children about reducing their carbon footprint in the form of activities, games and merchandise and thus I began a personal extension to this university project.

I began designing an educational environmental activity pack called 'The Groovy Green Gang' to be advertised and sold by the brand. It will consist of items that will help kids learn about how to help the environment by reducing their carbon footprint. This is done by providing them with an activity booklet on what things they can do in their everyday life to reduce their carbon footprint and other games that will make it fun for them. The pack also provides them with reusable merchandise to promote the reduce of wastage such as tote bags, reusable drawstring bags, reusable bottles and such.

This is the merchandise that will be available in each pack along with the activity booklet. They are only products that are reusable or made with recycled materials thus teaching users and encouraging them to reduce waste.
